Conservation Connection LogoNew Hills Access Fees
By Dan Campbell, Park Ranger

This year, for the first time, the Johnson County Conservation Board will be charging a camping fee to Hills Access campers. A nominal rate of $5.00 per day for each camping unit is now in effect.

This fee is needed to help finance additional park services and improvements.
A self-registration box with instructions is located at the entrance to the access area. A copy of the area's rules is posted next to the registration box to answer any questions campers may have.

Hills Access camping is available year-round with the $5.00 per camping unit rate. There is room for approximately a dozen camping units at the Hills Access site. All camping areas are available on a first-come first-served basis. The length of stay may not exceed 7 days of any 21 day period.
