The mission of the Johnson County Conservation Board is to improve the quality of natural resources and native species for Johnson County residents through programs emphasizing conservation of natural resources, conservation education, and natural resource based recreation.

Fishing Lure Picnic Areas

Picnic shelters are available at F.W. Kent Park, Scott Church Park and Walker Park. Picnic tables are also available at Hills Access, River Junction Access, Scott Church Park and Sutliff Access.

Kent Park offers six open shelters. Four of those may be reserved. Call (319) 645-2315 for reservations. Picnic tables and fire grills are also available thoughout the park.

A large handicap accessible playground is located immediately adjacent to the Bluebird picnic shelter.
