The County Attorney is the County’s Attorney and represents the State of Iowa in certain legal situations. Some of the County Attorney’s duties include prosecution of county and state criminal cases, victim’s assistance, assist with payment of fines, advise and/or Johnson County departments and officers, juvenile services, prosecute Child in Need of Assistance cases, represent applicants in involuntary commitments, and forfeit property connected to criminal activity.
