Voter Registration

You will need to register whenever you move, change your name, or change your political affiliation.

To be eligible to register to vote, you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • An Iowa resident and
  • At least 17 1/2 year old (must be 18 years old by election day to vote.)

There are several ways to register or change your voter registration:

 (You must have a valid IOWA driver's license or non-driver ID.)

Electronic Voter Registration   

Green Button  Register by Mail

  • Call our office at 319-356-6004 and we will mail a voter registration form to you.

  • You can also print a form and return it by mail or in person to our office. 
     
    (Be sure to complete all required sections of the registration.  If you live in an apartment, fill in the apartment number.  Voter registrations sent in by paper must contain ORIGINAL SIGNATURE and cannot be faxed or e-mailed.)

You can register at Auditor's Office during regular business hours, 7:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
