Early Voting Options

Don't want to wait in line on Election Day? Vote Early! All Johnson County voters have multiple ways to vote early: by mail, in our office, or at satellite voting sites.

Green Button VOTE BY MAIL:

  1. Download an Absentee Ballot Request Form. (Our office must have a written request. A ballot can't be sent out without a request.)
  2. Mail or hand deliver request to our office: (We can't accept requests submitted online.)

  3. Ballot is mailed to you. (We can't give you a ballot to take home, we have to mail it.)
     

*Deadline to request a ballot by mail is 5 PM the Friday before an election
(through the end of 2017).

(Note: The deadline to request a mailed ballot will change to 10 or 11 days before an election effective in 2018.)

Green Button VOTE AT THE AUDITOR'S OFFICE

Voters can cast an absentee ballot in-person at the Johnson County Auditor's office before any election. Ballots must be voted in the office, you cannot take a ballot home with you. In-person absentee voting is NOT available on election day at our office, voters will have to cast ballots at their polling place.

Early voting for the September 12 School Election will begin Monday, August 21.
