Obesity Task Force

The Johnson County Obesity Task Force convened in response
to growing community interest in obesity prevention programs for Johnson County residents. The Task Force meets
regularly to implement its strategic plan. This community coalition is open to
public members and welcomes comments and suggestions.

Events
Johnson County Health Improvement Planning will be holding a kick-off event on July 22, 2010 from 2:00-3:30 pm or July 22, 2010 from 4:30-5:30 pm for interested community members. During this meeting staff from JCPH will share our new health needs assessment results. Following this meeting community members are invited to join the Health Improvement Planning Committee (HIP), and then in the following months help select health priorities, set goals and strategies, and then implement the strategies to improve the health of the community.
