Mental Health and Disability Services (MH/DS) funds needed supports and services for individuals with qualifying diagnosis or disabilities in an effort to provide quality of life in the least restrictive environment. MH/DS is the Johnson County agency responsible for managing the funding for services to people with mental retardation, mental illness, developmental disabilities, or brain injury (HCBS Waiver only). Applicants complete a Central Point of Coordination application with MH/DS intake personnel for an eligibility determination based on the criteria established in the approved Johnson County Services Management Plan.
