Johnson County Social Services provides a wide array of help to families, youth, and individuals residing in Johnson County. Use the drop down list on the left of this screen to learn more about specific programs and services.
Many of the services offered in Johnson County are provided by the State Department of Human Services (DHS), including Child and Adult Protective Services and Income Maintenance. Johnson County provides space for the state DHS services and works closely with these Departments (Child and Adult Protective Services and Income Maintenance) to provide enhancements for clients in Johnson County under an Inter Governmental Cooperative Agreement with DHS.
Additionally, Johnson County provides direct funding to community-based non-profit organizations to provide services to Johnson County residents in need across the life-span.
