Animal Bite Reporting |
Health care providers and law enforcement are responsible for animal bite reporting within Johnson County. Animal bites should be reported as soon as possible to the appropriate entity listed below.
Please use the Animal Bite Reporting Form
when collecting information from the bite victim and/or animal owner. Click on the

for specific
information on bat exposures.Administering rabies prophylaxis is not necessary unless the
animal cannot be captured for observation or testing.
