Advanced fees of $40.00 are required before service will be attempted when the plaintiff is not an attorney or a business within the State of Iowa. Advanced fees of $40.00 are required on all Forcible Entry and Detainer actions in order for the return to be processed in time for the hearing. Personal checks will be accepted, and should be made payable to the Johnson County Sheriff.

Sheriff Sales

Sales may be cancelled at any time prior to the sale. All sales are open to the public. In order to bid you must present the sheriff with a letter from a recognized banking institution backing your bid amount. If you are the successful bidder you will be allowed time to obtain certified funds made out to the Johnson County Sheriff for the full amount of the bid.
